I haven't done anything yet but I want to call shotgun on "NY 87 [Club 662 Jazz Remix]". This will not be produced by me. I found a beat online that I like. It will make you feel as good as Death Row's Dear Mama remix.Last edited by BoxerSantaros; 05-15-2016, 02:41 PM.

Sounds interesting, don't really think of jazz when I hear NY87 lolOriginally posted by BoxerSantaros View PostI haven't done anything yet but I want to call shotgun on "NY 87 [Club 662 Jazz Remix]". Me either but it sounds great. The clarity of NY 87 even with all the fan mix downs is not great. There just isn't enough clarity in the vocals because of how the beat is produced. NY 87 over a different beat, especially the one I'm choosing, will make a great Jazz remix. When I first heard Dear Mama, I didn't want any remixes. Then came the DR remix. The DR remix enhances Pac's vocals in a different way and it makes me wan't to hear the track more. When I think of the Dear Mama DR mix, I think of Pac's lyrics from 02:01 to 02:05. This is what adds value to this classic song.Originally posted by KREW View PostSounds interesting, don't really think of jazz when I hear NY87 lol
I label it "Club 662 Jazz Remix" because I imagine it being played at 662 on a casual Friday night. DJ Quik would be playing that shit. Have you heard "Let's Get Down" by Toni Toni Tone and DJ Quik? Then you have the Death Row remix. Death Row remix sucks . Anyway, David Blake headlined at Club 662 on the poster, so there is some history behind it. All of this is my imagination of what I want to happen if Pac didn't die and Death Row was still operating.

Will be submitting in the next day or 2."Being in Marin City was like a small town so it taught me to be more straight forward with my style. Instead of of being so metaphorical with the rhyme where i might say something like...
I'm the hysterical, lyrical miracle
I'm the hypothetical, incredible....
I was encouraged to go straight at it and hit it dead on and not waste time trying to cover things..." - 2Pac
