a lot of these mixes were pretty simple mixes and basic ideas that have been tried before.... i know the thug style og with the retail adlibs has been tried many times before but there were always problems with those mixes.. i knew i could make it sound perfect...

i believe i got the johnny j acapella i used from something you uploaded a couple years ago so i thank you for that!

Damn bro, what more can i say? Love your style, u take your time to work on acapellas in details (example: delete the "ebony" can u get away" it seems to be nothing but details make difference). The beats you used are great, i bet it was hard to chose sometimes. Like [MENTION=999]Kevin said, i had some similar concepts too and he knows i'm right! Always had plenty ideas but too lazy.

I also loved the "beat juggling" on Watcha Gonna Do ha ha...

U used that Big Pun's Brave In The Heart instrumental right? Got the 12inch but never used it

yea i got OCD when it comes to some of the small details man lol.... so these pellas and instrumentals need to be perfect... the overall sound might not sound perfect to everyone but the structure and mechanical work must always be perfect... not every mix on here lived up to my standards though so thats why they were left off of various mixtapes through out the years... a lot of these were cuts from my second mixtape that was originally going to be a double disc before i went a different direction.... i am not really into making mixes anymore because of lack of time... so unless i really see some potential in a mix i wont even touch it... but i had these mixes laying around and was getting a lot of emails and messages about another mixtape and i thought a "lost tapes" kinda thing would be cool at this point... this way everyone can here everything whether its good or bad, or whether i like it or not....

that is the brave heart intrumental... i know there is a similar mix on youtube but there are many problems with that mix that i know i could do better... but i was trying to find another beat with the same sample but couldnt find any so i just used that one... the instrumental is nice though..

Yeah but many mixes sound like recreation. I think only good quality OG(Shock G mix) can give you what you want(authentic). I still prefer to listen this bad quality version over Dante's remake That feeling of the track is much better.

Thanks for the reply bro. Yeah, I did hear that one. But even that one, still has a "manufactured" kind of sound. Not a "spot-on" beat and feel, you know. [MENTION=747]SCORPION I'm sure can really perfect it so that the mix doesn't sound JUST like a recreation but sounds authentic. Dante I recall, he has a lot of OGVs even some not on the albums he did release, but then even some of Dante's best work was tagged. [MENTION=747]SCORPION along with [MENTION=420]DADA7 and [MENTION=2072]Klockwork are the best to-date concerning OG Remakes for Pac and his legacy.
