Never been a fan of this song tbh but I will definately bump this version in my ride! Great work as usual bro.

I mentioned to someone the other day that I'm not crazy about the OG or Retail versions, but I don't hate them either. If I was playing the RUSD album I wouldn't skip it, but it's not my "go to" song if I wanted to cherry pick through the album. It was a cool song for me. I liked the bass line, I always felt like there may have been a sample that was removed from the verse sections of the song that is probably what's holding the song back a bit. (ala Enemies Wit Me)

Thank you for everything, I enjoyed most of your mixes and I like your creativity, but I gotta say I also like "OG remakes" that are close to the real OGs, giving us something that we had for decades in far superior quality of sound.

Whew, OG Remakes can be amazing, but they can be a real struggle to pull off lol. It damn near requires one to have the same instruments that the original producers had to make it sound right. I'm sure you've noticed or when go to some of my older videos I've tried to do a few OG remakes, but that shit started driving me nuts cuz it's always something that's gonna be off... Case in point. I've uploaded Still I Rise 3 times, but outside of uploading I'm still trying to improve on it (i havent checked my filed to count, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's over 30 different test exports lol), but like I said, something will always be off lol

You know what? Although I actually was interpolating "High Til I Die", when I read your comment saying "It Ain't Easy" I was about to say "that's not what I was copying" I stopped myself and thought about the whistles/worm in "It Ain't Easy" and started humming them to myself, then I thought "Hold On!!!!" (pun intended, but seriously lol) Tony Pizarro produced both "High Til I Die" & "It Ain't Easy" and they both have the whistles/worm in them and although they are different, they are not that much different from each other... few different note variations and pitch is really the only difference, but they're kinda are the same... Wow that's crazy lol. I woulda never thought of that until u said that lol. I had actually thought about extending this beat a lil bit more. I think you may have just given me an idea to make the whistle switch into the notes of "It Ain't Easy". Thank You for mentioning that.
