I just noticed that there are a few remixes of Thug Style on youtube but nothing from the regulars round here. Any reason why y'all avoid this pella?

[MENTION=2261]PainIsLove4Thugz Right about Them Thangz as well, checked out your mix as well - It has a real DJ Quik vibe to it but I really liked the retail version (even better than the OG) as the melancholy guitar/piano style really worked so well with the lyrics so ideally I'd be looking for that style of flex on the remix. Sorta like a 2.0 refreshed vibe of the retail would be awesome.
[MENTION=747]Papaveli Nice one sir, I know you'll do it justice. I've shot you a PM with some samples for your perusal
I've just had a look at the leaked pella list and there are so many tracks on there that people just don't seem to touch for some reason, get to it you mixers
A beat like the one used here would be great, all the right components:

Yeah, retail version is better than OG, even if it has some similarities, i hate the og version, plus RUSD album is one of the best posthumus album ever released to me. Thanks about my mix, i used a french beat released in 95 if i remember wellOriginally posted by 61824 View Post[MENTION=2261]PainIsLove4Thugz Right about Them Thangz as well, checked out your mix as well - It has a real DJ Quik vibe to it but I really liked the retail version (even better than the OG) as the melancholy guitar/piano style really worked so well with the lyrics so ideally I'd be looking for that style of flex on the remix. I've checked my playlist library and seen I've got 3 descent remixes and 1 switch up. I'm pretty confident some of them came from regular DJ's on here so I wouldn't say it's been skipped over they're good for me.
I don't accept fillers! clean & voice-tag free too.
unfortunately not able to link to hulkshare so can't share.

Edit: Sent all recipients in this thread a links to hulkshare, I agree with 'Let Them Thangs Go' I have 0 tracks in my playlist library and about 2 semi good remixes and 1 switch up in my deleted 2pac remix archives. DJ Ridah remixed 1, The switch up is with 'Is It Cool To Fuck' the track durations ain't that long anyway two are 2:20 and other 3:11 DJ CVince also remixed it but I wasn't that keenLast edited by SwIFT; 02-01-2013, 06:49 PM.

I agree, they should have stuck to that formula/team as it was flawless execution and the vast majority of the tracks excelled the OGs. I had really high hopes for the posthumous releases after that one, bring back Ricky Rouse (and I ain't talking about the fat cop). Speaking of Rouse, check this out:Originally posted by PainIsLove4Thugz View PostYeah, retail version is better than OG, even if it has some similarities, i hate the og version, plus RUSD album is one of the best posthumus album ever released to me. [MENTION=11749]SwIFT Thanks for sharing, appreciate the effort.
After digging around on the tube and hearing some mixes here I now realize why people avoid this pella, it only works on a certain type of beat and doesn't really mesh/flow like the other vocals do.I'd like to impart some words that I've always lived by:Mo' money, mo money, mo money.

U got a point, could think the same about others, Thug 4 Life verses sound dope but chorus is boring because of background singerOriginally posted by 61824 View PostAfter digging around on the tube and hearing some mixes here I now realize why people avoid this pella, it only works on a certain type of beat and doesn't really mesh/flow like the other vocals do.

i agree... i think edi did a great job with that song... kept a lot of og sht and then kinda matched the vibe of the song with the beat... for some reason i just dont think the vibe of the og beat matched the lyrics... i think the retail vibe was perfect with that piano... one of my favorite tracks off that album...Originally posted by PainIsLove4Thugz View PostYeah, retail version is better than OG, even if it has some similarities, i hate the og version, plus RUSD album is one of the best posthumus album ever released to me.
