  • Soon As I get home (dada7 OG mix)

I’ve always been a fan of original track released on bootlegs in 1997, though it was in really bad quality it has that vibe in it, when pacs life came out with original version I was excited at first but disappointed when found out it’s heavily overloaded and over remastered so my aim was to make an opposite with a same vibe as og had, restored dynamics and with a variations/breaks in the beat.

Sometimes the simplest option is the better choice - great outcome - wished the outro would be a bit longer, not fading that early out - i like that vibe of that song

I’d have arranged it slightly differently like the guitar coming in with the verse sounds too abrupt and Death Row style would've been a slower build up with the instruments as less is more, lastly I noticed it in your “Pain” mix compared to the retail Stretch had the 808 dominant in the mix and I think you should be more generous with your low end or pull the punchy frequency up in EQ, I hope it’s not my earphones that are lacking lol

Thanks for your feedback man, as for pain, personal experience highly depends on the equipment indeed I didn’t feel the lack of it in the track, I think its so dominant in the OG due to its non mastered at all

I didn’t expect much from the mix, but I have to admit that after listening to it for the first time, I was really captivated. The entire mix turned out very well. I’m very surprised. Even after so many years, this is one of the best mixes. Thank you for uploading it. Could you please upload it as an MP3 as well?
