Funny remix. Thanks.
Of course, there is no Storm here ! not her voice, style, etc.
There is one girl or two sisters. We use to call them Ego-Trip but nobody knows who they are. Somebody (DR inmate ?) said they could be from the porn world (they shot the porn video of How Do U Want It a few days before (the 23rd of March and the 19th) so, could be....

You think bad. SorryOriginally posted by Svengali View PostI think it’s Scarlo
.
1. Not the same voice and style at all. And we know by the Mr. Marcus interview that Starr-Loc (and not Scarlo - Mr. Marcus calls her Starr) recorded only one song in January.
2. Somebody finally told me who was that girl !!!!

"Ride 4 Me" female rapper was JV, an American-Mexican rapper from Downey, CA. The girl released the album Nayba'Hood Queen in 1994, mainly produced by Kid Frost, with the eponymous hit sampling N.W.A., produced by Baka Boyz. In 1996, she was recording her second album with J-Swift and Buckwheat, It Gets No Reala. The song was recorded the same day Death Row organized the porn star Champagne Pendavi's birthday party... Was she at that party ? Did she record in the same session than 2Pac, Fatal and Kurupt ? This song is kind of strange with her two verses... I wonder if the final version would have included two, one or none of her verses...

Our best bet is to probably ask Kurupt before we lose him.Originally posted by JuronJux View PostDid she record in the same session than 2Pac, Fatal and Kurupt ? This song is kind of strange with her two verses... I wonder if the final version would have included two, one or none of her verses…

I wouldn't bet a lot of money on Kurupt's memory of that recording... I'd rather ask him about the various projects he had in 1996 : early January maybe a second Dogg Pound album or a Death Row thing with 2Pac... Then recording sessions for a solo album circa Feb.-April, Aftershock sessions with Philly Mob in July, Dogg Pound's West Coast Aftershock from August to his departure.Originally posted by Svengali View Post

It would be easier to interview JV herself. Wouldn't be that hard.
