Game of Thrones returned to televisions over the weekend, kicking off the fourth season of the epic fantasy show.
For those that missed it, the first episode will be available to stream on Xbox 360 and Xbox One from tomorrow, for free. That’s according to Xbox Entertainment’s official Twitter account.
Variety adds that the episode will remain free until April 14th and calls the move “a sampling strategy designed to drive non-HBO subscribers to sign up for the [Xbox Live] service.”
HBO also told Variety that the sampling deal with Xbox had been in the works for some time, and that it isn’t a response to the show's record breaking piracy estimates.

Telltale is currently working on an episodic Game of Thrones series that runs concurrently with the TV show, but explores alternative storylines.
