MARIO KART 8 Trailer

It’s been 6 years since the release of Mario Kart Wii, the last non-handheld installment of Nintendo’s signature racing game — Mario Kart 7 was released only for the 3DS. But Mario Kart 8 is due out on May 30th for the Wii U console, and Nintendo has released this trailer featuring new characters, new tracks, and all the shell-shooting mayhem you’d expect. Also as expected, watching this trailer will make you dizzy as hell. Haven't they figured out that Mario Kart is disorienting if you’re not the one playing? “Since when?” Since forever!

Can't believe it's been six years since the Wii version. I want to get excited for this but I just can't - the Wii version really emphasized the use of items over racing, way more so than the N64 version which was already a bit skewed. I want to buy a Wii U, but so far Nintendo haven't done enough to convince me.
