  • “The Strain” Cats Iggy Pop-esque Character

Young New York theater actor Jack Kesy, pictured, has booked a regular role in FX‘s drama pilot “The Strain,” from Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse, says Deadline.

Directed and co-written by del Toro, “The Strain tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Centers for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism.”

Kesy plays Gabriel Bolivar who, in the vein of Iggy Pop – brooding, and charismatic – corrupted his stunning good looks with Goth makeup and his sublime music with industrial shrieks and created an international rock superstar… with an insatiable appetite for recreational sex and pharmaceuticals.
