  • WWE: Brock Lesnar resigns new two-year deal

Big WWE news today as the company has reportedly resigned former WWE and UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar to a new contract.. According to PWINSIDER, Lesnar has resigned a new contract for two more years, which would keep with the company through Wrestlemania 31. Lesnar’s current contract was set to expire after Wrestlemania 29.

Lesnar’s WWE future will be hard to predict now as his future deal is likely still under limited appearance as his current deal. This would mean Lesnar will continue to make sporadic jumps in and out of the active WWE storylines. Lesnar is set to perform at this year’s Wrestlemania 29 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in a rumored rematch with 13-time World Champion Triple H. Lesnar should be making his presence felt in WWE very soon, to join the road to Wrestlemania.

Lesnar became world famous in WWE when he joined the company in early 2000’s after being an NCAA All-American for the University of Minnesota Wrestling team. In his first WWE run, he stormed through the roster, capturing the WWE Championship three times, headlining Wrestlemania, and leaving the company after a two year run on the main roster when he became frustrated with the rigorous touring schedule.

After he failed to make it off the practice squad of the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL, Lesnar wrestled in Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling where continued to thrive, winning the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar then successfully transitioned into Mixed Martial Arts, earning a pricey UFC contract where he became company’s biggest attraction on Pay Per View. Lesnar’s MMA career stumbled after he battled diverticulitis, a intestinal disorder that he forced the cancellation of several UFC fights. Lesnar finished his MMA career with a record of 5 wins and 3 losses.
