That's not why they lost though (I do love that people assume Rondo automatically hits both free throws if it was called). If people want to be anal about shit now, go back and look at how many times the calls have gone the Celtics way (undeservedly). I don't know how many moving screens they've allowed KG. Shit is ridiculous. Bullshit aside though, people that put the result of an entire game on one play/call are just stupid. It's as if the rest of the game never happened and had nothing to do with the situations the players are in toward the end of games. The refs have been bad, but they've been bad towards EVERYBODY the entire playoffs. Stern and his flunkies are a joke. That's nothing new. To even suggest there's some conspiracy going on is idiotic. That draft lottery though? That's a different story.
Oh and the discrepancy between free throws is easy to explain. One team is aggressive and is attacking while the other for the most part is falling in love with their jump shots. It's that simple.
Now with all that said, talk about a historic night for Rondo. That motherfucker is one hell of a player (pest
). Dude didn't sit the entire game. I gotta hand it to him, he came to play.

Yeah, Boston was way too comfortable with their 15 point lead. I thought it was overall a good game, Boston even getting some calls during the the first half. But I will admit the last couple of calls (Rondo getting hit in the face, Wade's and-1) were pretty shaky. I can see both ends of the perspective with the D-Wade call, KG hit him in the hand so that was when the whistle blew but D-Wade also could've been called for an offensive foul because of how he "kicked" Garnett. Tough call but good call, it could've went either way. I'm sure if it was at Boston's court the call would've went in KG's favor.
Feel sorry for Rondo though. As much as I dislike him, the dude played his heart out. We'll probably never see him play on this level again. You could just see the frustration in his face too in the press conference when they asked him about the uncalled foul in OT. Ray Allen has been horrible all around though. I think he's hurt, but either way the dude has been shooting WAAYY too many airballs for my liking (although he did he some clutch shots in game 7 and last night, there were instances where he was wide open and he still couldn't hit it. If he hit the shots that he missed, the game would've been blown wide open). Their key role-players (and by key role-players, I'm talking about Pierce and Allen) haven't been playing great to say the least. Pierce fouling out was huge.
I believe that Boston will get at least one win against The Heat, but it's not gonna be easy. Either way, whoever wins in the ECF is gonna lose to The Spurs lmao.
People are comparing it to the Lakers/Kings 2002 game when Kobe clearly hit Bibby in the face and their was no call. imo reffing an NBA isn't exactly an easy thing to do compared to other sports. They are instances where I see someone clearly travel and it doesn't get called or if I see someone flopping to get the whistle and the refs call it (I'm looking at you Steven Jackson haha). Things like Rondo's no-call happen a lot. I'm not trying to justify it, but it's the reality unfortunately.Originally posted by thuggincold View Postnaw dude did u see they got robbed, in the ot wade smacked rondos face on a layup and no foul and they were tied and no foul called it was obvious too see, not some bang bang play and then haslem dunked the next play, wtf are the refs not payin attention in the ot of east finals fuckin suckLast edited by H.O.V.A.; 05-31-2012, 04:26 PM.A lil over a year ago I was in bondage

You can almost bet your life on this. The Spurs are burning through everybody right now. It won't be a Finals sweep but they'll get it done. The only thing that's good for the Heat (pertaining to the Spurs) is that the longer that win streak (20 games now), the closer it is to breaking. Nothing lasts forever. Spurs are overdue for an ass whooping. Once they complete the sweep of the Thunder (which will take a lot out of them), shouldn't be too hard for the Heat to grab at least one from them. The biggest difference will be coaching though. Greg Popovich will destroy Erik Spoelstra (as he's now destroying Scotty Brooks). Just as Rick Carlisle did last year with Dallas. Spoelstra is horrible at on-the-fly adjustments. Dude sometimes has horrible judgment and serious mismanagement of his players. Letting sharpshooters rot away on the bench isn't exactly a formula for success. And playing Lebron as if he's a machine the entire playoffs is stupid as well. But it is what it is, they'll have to live with the consequences.Originally posted by Mufasa View PostEither way, whoever wins in the ECF is gonna lose to The Spurs lmao.
Yes, didn't you know? Under all the referee jerseys is a Lebron Heat jersery.Originally posted by thuggincold View Posti even hear talk refs gave lebron lots of free throws, at least i want a 7 game series not some sweep or 4-1 win

That young energy overwhelmed the hell out of San Antonio last night. Good for them.
There was something very interesting that happened during the game that told me Harden was asking for that elbow from Artest late in the season. The guy just proved himself to be an instigator. Bumping into Stephen Jackson like that wasn't a smart move. Jackson is another Artest, that's not the one Harden wants to fuck with. He's just lucky there's too much at stake to strike back at this time in the year. But it won't be forgotten. Harden pretty much proved that he was intentionally going into Artest's space to stop that dunk celebration. He showed the type of punk he is.
Other than that, as for the game itself, I didn't see that blowout coming. Thunder do feed off their crowd more than most other NBA teams (it's almost like a college game atmosphere) but I didn't think it'd be that bad. Spurs will bounce back though. They didn't win 20 in a row on a whim.
