Is the version of It's Goin' Down with Faith Evans available uncensored? Everything that's up on YouTube are fan edits with the curses pasted in. Anybody know why this wasn't put on the album? I'm assuming it's the original version.

A link if a legit version is available would be appreciated. #VIP
I always thought they added Faith Evans and added a few more elements to make it more radio friendly. Probably done after the album came out for the single.

The IDAHIH advance promo CD is interesting too. The tracks are cut differently and they are mono. Haven't done further comparisons, but there might be additional differences.
There was no picture of the disc with the scene release (and I lied, the clean version is on there too)

They also edited Where the Hood At on the explicit album. The leaked advance album had the unedited version. I purchased a few promo discs and found the unedited one at least on one of em.

I took the rock from the crap version and edited it into the good Q version. Not a real wav obviously but i didn't want to degrade it further by converting it back to mp3.

mp3 for those that want it: http://www17.zippyshare.com/v/Tv4lOWh2/file.html

Then of course the censoring of Slippin'. Whereas I can't really complain about anything on his first album. Can't think of many albums with a better opening track.
I have signed copy of it and I've considered it my favorite X album, but if I really compared and analyzed it against the debut release... Those 2 are his best no doubt. Both have a few shit songs. Ruff Ryders Anthem for example is trash and so is No Love 4 Me.

I like Keep Your Shit the Hardest. A straight up constipation/retention rap!

First is from a supposed promo CD (I have the scene rip, it's just the one song), second is an edit using that intro and pasting it to this: http://www53.zippyshare.com/v/EhZqzKDo/file.html

*Third verse still had "rock" censored on promo version, it's left in on the other one

Anyone happen to know where the dirty version with rock edited out is from? Some promo cd or something?

It was censored on the album due to the Grover Washington Jr Moonstreams sample as they'd only clear it if there was no swearing on the track hence the clean edit plus I'm sure having DMX talking candidly about his crack addiction at that point in his career wouldn't have done him any favours, especially if you were around in 98 and remembered how black folks used to react to anyone consuming anything but weed and henny. Fast forward to now...
