on photoshop the banner that i made for the dark style looks a lot cleaner

its because i have been converting banners down to 1024 x 768 to fit the google pagespeed recommend px and to reduce the size of the file. it seems like 1280 or even 1600 is the standard resolution now however, so we may have to go with bigger banners to make the site look better.
