  • Red Sox Sign Pablo Sandoval To 5-Year, $95 Million Deal

The Boston Red Sox have finalized a five-year deal with Pablo Sandoval.

According to ESPN.com, the contract is worth $95 million and includes a sixth-year club option worth $17 million, with a $5 million buyout.

The 28-year-old two-time All-Star was introduced at a news conference at Fenway Park on Tuesday (Nov. 25), where he was joined by Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington and president/CEO Larry Lucchino.

"I'm going to enjoy this ballpark," Sandoval said. "It was one of the things I was thinking about in my decision."

Sandoval is a career .294 hitter, who had 16 homers and 73 RBIs in the regular season this past season.
