  • Crooked I Defends Eminem's Lana Del Ray-Ray Rice Line From "Shady CXVPHER"

Crooked I also discusses the likelihood of a Slaughterhouse-Black Hippy Collaboration.

Crooked I (or KXNG Crooked, as he would now prefer to be called) recently spoke with Rkulture about his feelings on the criticism Eminem has received in response to the controversial line about Lana Del Ray and Ray Rice from the “Shady CXVPHER."

"I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice like Ray Rice,” Eminem raps on the selection, which was released November 10 and is available in full here.

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice struck his then-finance twice in February while the couple was at Atlantic City’s Revel Hotel. The incident was caught on tape and, upon its release in September, Rice’s contract was terminated by the Ravens and the NFL suspended him indefinitely.

“...Have they ever heard an Em song before?” Crooked I says of Eminem's lyrics on the song. “I mean unless you live under a rock you know Em is going to say shit like that. To me a cypher is a blood sport anyway. No country for soft lyrics.“

Additionally, KXNG Crooked addresses the possibility of a joint album between Slaughterhouse and Black Hippy:

“I hope so,” he says. “There’s been talk but I’m about action. I’m ready. I respect what TDE has accomplished as a movement and I think everybody over there is talented. Again, I’m ready.”
