  • Lamar Odom Agrees To Deal To Play In Spain

Lamar Odom hasn't played in the NBA since the 2012-13 season with the L.A. Clippers, but is set to make his basketball comeback in Spain.

According to ESPN.com, the 34-year-old has reached an agreement with Laboral Kutxa for a two-month contract, which includes an option to extend the deal for the remainder of the season to fill a roster spot that opened up because of injury.

Most overseas deals include out clauses that allow established veterans such as Odom to return to the NBA if the opportunity arises. However, sources tell ESPN that Odom plans to play out the rest of the season in Spain before deciding whether he'll attempt an NBA comeback.

If everyone works out, the NBA vet will make his debut Saturday (Feb. 22) against Valladolid.

"We're very happy to have signed a very important player who has had a long and fruitful career in the NBA," Laboral Kutxa president Josean Querejeta said in a statement.

"We've worked very hard over the last couple of days to make this happen, we felt we needed a boost and had to break the collective cloud that has been hanging over us over the last while so we could get back to winning."
